In mid July, we emailed all the current teams known to us. The feedback and response has been such that we have decided to make this an open email to the community at large.
This is a message to share with future teams wanting to take the first TTXGP steps and "Be Part of It".

Subject: MESSAGE FROM TTXGP: Your Journey to Earning; The guide for TTXGP Teams
Dear Partners,
The TTXGP story continues.
Of the 13 races we announced at the start of the year, we have now completed 4. I wanted to catch up with you now to share thoughts and actions that we as a racing series are doing or considering to do, to continue working for your success.
Clearly sponsorship is one challenge. These are surely tough times, but TTXGP is now the world's leading Zero Carbon Emission Championship and we are working strenuously to translate that into tangible support for you. Tough times have a tradition of breeding the strong that prosper.
2010: TAKING THE FIRST STEPS
2010 has been our foundation year. Track dates, TV deals and events came along too late for us to really benefit from them in terms of commercial support, as budgets tend to close by November the previous year. We also had insufficient collateral in terms of pictures, film and hard numbers to share with you in a meaningful way. The 2009 Isle of Man event wasn't transferable with sponsors and some of our leading opportunities did not want to associate with the challenges that were presented when racing with at the TT.
We have invested heavily in the success to date and despite some serious and significant challenges against us, you and our industry have been able to drive TTXGP forward with a sense of urgency and purpose that respects all efforts that you have put in to make this year the blast it has been.
As a race organisation we are always learning. In our line of work, innovation and momentum are key to a vibrant and attractive series. However, as an innovator, getting it wrong occasionally is an occupational hazard. But we have always pushed the curve on getting it right and will continue to do so for 2011. We are proud that you have stood by us and we will work hard to continue to earn your trust.
2011: BEING PART OF IT GETS EASIER AND REWARDING
If 2010 was the foundation year, in 2011 we will work together to continue our rapid growth and development. This year though we have better and more appropriate tools for the job and momentum from a growing community to get it done.
We now have longer range, multi-year deals in place with tracks meaning that we can set dates and schedules much earlier. We have hours of HD footage and a growing library of pictures (now into the thousands) which are available for you to use, please contact us at press@... and we can discuss your needs.
We have TV coverage with shows now broadcasting on ESPN UK and further deals in the pipeline. We are working on TTXGP to be in more media markets than ever before. During 2011, our hope is to deliver intercontinental coverage on multiple platforms, including: satellite, over the air and cable. Additionally, we are looking to invest in egrandprix.tv for 2011/2012 and a podcast is also in the works.
A number of new teams will be joining the series from across the world. Not only will this expand the series, but also raise the awareness of the fans, the industry and ultimately all of you.
More TTXGP in more places with more teams. And with that, we build our future together.
YOUR JOURNEY TO EARNING: THE BUSINESS OF MAKING IT HAPPEN
In response to the many of you that have asked us to provide some guidance in seeking sponsorship, we have put together some milestones and processes to help you do this.
Some of you will have the support of specialist sponsorship agents so this will not apply, however you are of course have access to all of the below.
As aforementioned, most companies close budgets by November, so you need to start reaching out to your contact list as soon as possible. One of the strengths of the TTXGP format is that it acts locally, nationally and globally. So whatever the ambitions of you and your sponsor, being part of TTXGP will deliver a return. Sponsorship is an incredibly effective tools for companies if done properly and is offers a better return than most other forms of advertising. TTXGP now has the muscle and the credibility to give your partners confidence that by supporting you, their message will reach a wide audience in an attractive, exciting and memorable experience.
One of the key things to highlight is television, in which we control all of the production. We have started and will increasingly place an emphasis on your sponsors when covering your team in our publications. We will also work to ensure that every team gets some camera time, no matter where it is in the running order. Other enhancements include broadening the programme with special documentaries about the teams and technology.
We would also like to expand our affinity programme that allows you to market your technology or complete machine on the main eGrandPrix website. Please contact us if you would like to be part of this.
By September 2010 we will deliver a sponsorship pack for teams to use as a template for sponsors, which will include key statistics, messages and details of the 2011 series in an editable format. We have also created a high resolution promotional video that you are free to use. An updated version will be available with the sponsorship pack.
As a TTXGP team you are free to use our logo for promotional and non-commercial use only. Our brand guidelines are available online and we would ask that you apply these when using our insignia for your material. High resolution versions of the logo and guidelines are also on our website.
We are always available and we strongly urge you to follow us on:
- Twitter at twitter.ttxgp.com
- Facebook at facebook.ttxgp.com
- RSS from egrandprix.com
- www.egrandprix.tv
...and soon to come – podcasts with their own XML feed to connect with your favourite podcast reader.

COMMITTED TO ONE GOAL
Our collective destinies are tied to building a credible and sustainable series that drives all of us to be better and deliver memorable experiences for all of our fans. Our route to success lies with your success.
We are also demonstrably breaking the "business as usual" cycle with initiatives like the wiki.egrandprix.com and TEO, trust.egrandprix.org.
We look forward to building a great future together with you and putting in milestones that will still excite us in the distant years to come.
