TTXGP appoints US Director ahead of 2010 Championships

21st November 2009

Jeremy Burne, MBE, has joined TTXGP to spearhead the company's increasing presence in the USA which kicks off at Infineon in May.

Mr Burne, who established his own business development consultancy after seven years serving as British Vice Consul (Commercial) in Cleveland, established the North American offices for a number of British clients including the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) and Financial Times Automotive in April 1999. He was awarded the MBE (Member of the British Empire) in the 2002 Queen's Birthday Honours' list, for services to the British Motor Industry in the USA.

Commenting on his appointment as Director TTXGP US, Mr Burne said, "It is a natural progression to move from the more established automotive industry into the —new world' of green motorsports. Combine this last element with the advanced technology that TTXGP brings with it in terms of its background in consumer electronics, and you will see that it simply is —the future'. I am very pleased to be involved and look forward to the road ahead."

The opening race of the TTXGP US Championships 2010 will take place at Infineon in California 14-16 May. This will be the first zero carbon, clean emission motorcycle race for the US, building on TTXGP's success on the Isle of Man TT in June this year.

TTXGP founder, Azhar Hussain, said, "Jeremy brings with him a wealth of experience both in the automotive industry and the US. This will be of immense help to TTXGP which, as a fledgling company, has gone from running one event in 2009 to double figures in 2010. This is a massive leap which requires strong operational support to ensure that we deliver on the day. Jeremy's appointment will ensure that we build a firm foundation, not only for 2010 but also for the ensuing years. We are very pleased to have him on board."
