TEAM ZONGSHEN CONFIRM ENTRY TO TTXGP
8th October 2010
At the Intermot show in Cologne, Germany, TTXGP proudly announced the participation of our first fully-fledged factory team from Chinese Motorcycle manufacturer and racing team, China Zongshen Motorcycle Racing Team. Zongshen have a tremendous pedigree in top-flight motorcycle racing and join the TTXGP series in a hope to develop new, clean technology on the track and use the lessons learnt with TTXGP in their manufacturing facility in China.
China Zongshen Motorcycle Racing Team was formed in 1999 and was the first team from China to compete in the MotoGP World Championship and has also participated in the Asian Nations Cup.
The joining of Zongshen has been warmly welcomed by TTXGP. The mission of Zongshen Motorcycles to "provide clean, convenient and safe transportation tools for human beings and improve their life quality" is a goal that TTXGP are happy to be a part of and support wholeheartedly.
Daniel Chung, Team Manager said. "AOS Racing and Zongshen were the first Chinese team to take part in MotoGP. We did this because we see racing as critical to improving our technology and demonstrating our products. We join TTXGP to push this philosophy forward into the next generation of motorsport"
"Zongshen is a leading company in motorcycle manufacturing. Racing in TTXGP is the best step forward for our team to build a world championship winning technology for the future"
Zongshen will have one of their factory team riders piloting the bike, Chi-Fung Ho, who has been with the team for the last 8 years, so he will be calling on all of his experience with the team, to get used to electric motorcycle racing as quickly as possible in a field of experienced competitors. Ho has a vast history of racing across many different classes, so should be the ideal rider to take the team from China into the next generation of motorsport.
