ManTTX are the latest team to confirm their place on the grid for the TTXGP UK championship. The team, lead by David Craine were the crowd's favourite at the first race, TTXGP 2009. The inaugral race was on their home turf in the Isle of Man. Despite being the class leaders in the qualifying rounds the team was sadly forced to retire late in the inaugural race due to mechanical failure. Coming back fighting for this years championship David Craine commented, " TTXGP was a fantastic race to be involved with last year, we are really excited of staying part of the journey; we are exciting to be taking part in the first British Zero Carbon Championship. We learnt a lot last year and are confident of putting on a great performance this season and going all the way to the Albacete TTXGP FINAL"
The team has already been testing with their rider for 2010, TT ace James McBride. Both James and the team are very happy with the performance of the bike. James commented "It's nice to be back on it. It's relaxing and comfortable but a bit like riding a 125 in terms of technique ” not a lot of brakes and keep the thing rolling. Get up to speed then concentrate on keeping the momentum."
Based in Ramsey on the Isle of Man, the ManTTX Racing has a great pedigree with team member Keith McKay, an International and Manx Grand Prix racer, Formula 3000 Engineer Phil Wall with Andrew Cowie, Joe O'Hanlon and Sean Mulvey making up the electrical engineering crew. The team have been working hard on their bike based on a Ducati 748R chassis.
