TTXGP was featured in the ribbon cutting ceremony at the Grand Opening of the newest facility at Road America, The Orion Tech Center - better known this weekend as TTXGP HQ.

TTXGP is the first organization to use this facility as the home for the TTXGP paddock at Road America, a fitting location given that the building features Orion Energy Systems' state-of-the-art energy efficient lighting technology.

The ribbon cutting ceremony featured congressmen, government officials and senior executives. Two of the TTXGP bikes were featured as part of the technology display. Square Wave Racing and Electric race biked displayed their bikes and provided information on them to the assembled crowd of dignitaries. TTXGP US Director Jeremy Burne told the assembled crowd that TTXGP was pleased to be the first organisation to make use of this new facility: "TTXGP is all about accelerating the development of new technologies that make efficient use of energy. I am delighted to see that Orion Energy Systems is following a similar path – the new lighting system is spectacular"

The new building, which will be the future home for Road America's inspection crews, features a combination of natural lighting with sophisticated controls systems that reduce the amount of energy used by fluorescent bulbs - a great home for TTXGP Teams and bikes. Round two practice is later today; feed back will be posted assuming rain does not stop play!
