Virginia Tech Bolt is an annual collegiate senior design project whose goal is to build an all-electric bike to compete in the TTXGP. The team was founded in 2009 as engineering support for Team Electra and in 2010 decided to build a bike of its own. Now in 2012 with the support of our sponsors we have something to show for our efforts. This year has been extremely fast paced and after all the setbacks and long hours in the lab we are all looking forward to see our first bike turn a wheel in anger. Even as this race season is underway we have begun development of our 2013 bike so that we can continue building a legacy for Virginia Tech in EV racing.
